BioSolv Septic Tank Treatment
Beneficial bacteria go to work on the waste your tank can't break down on its own — digesting solid waste, reducing sludge, and controlling odor at the source, without harsh chemicals.
What It Does
- Introduces beneficial microorganisms that digest waste and organic matter in the tank
- Reduces bad odor and sludge build-up over time
- Helps prevent and clear blockages caused by waste accumulation
- Works continuously once established — regular maintenance doses keep the bacterial colony active
Quick-Reference Doses (Average Household)
Average household = a septic tank of roughly 3,000–4,000 L serving up to 4 people. For anything larger or smaller, use the full dosing guide below for precision.
| Situation | Dosage | Key Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Preventive Maintenance (tank in good condition) | 250 mL, once a week, for 4 weeks | No antibacterial cleaners for 24 hrs after each dose |
| Odor or Sludge Build-up | Day 1: 500 mL, then Days 2–6: 100 mL/day | 5-day follow-up course after the initial dose |
| Blockage | 100 mL daily for 10 days | Consistency matters more than dose size here |
One 1L bottle comfortably covers a full Preventive Maintenance course.
How To Apply
- Best option: pour into the toilet and flush once
- Also works: washroom floor drain, wash basin, kitchen sink, laundry drain, or inspection chamber if accessible
- You can use your washrooms as normal throughout the entire treatment period
The One Rule
Wait at least 24 hours after each application before using antibacterial cleaners or disinfectants — used too soon, they can kill the beneficial bacteria before they take hold.
Before You Dose: One Exception
If your tank is overflowing or severely backed up, please don't dose it yourself — this can point to a mechanical issue that product alone won't fix. Get in touch with us first so we can help assess the situation.
Full Dosing Guide — By Tank Size & Household Size
For odor/sludge build-up or a blockage on a larger or smaller tank, treatment runs in three phases: a one-time Booster on Day 1, a daily Stabilizer dose for Days 2–11, then a weekly Maintenance dose ongoing.
| Tank Capacity | Users | Booster (Day 1, once) | Stabilizer (Daily, Days 2–11) | Maintenance (Weekly, ongoing) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 3,000 L | 1–4 | 545 mL | 58 mL | 54 mL |
| 5–7 | 654 mL | 70 mL | 65 mL | |
| 8+ | 818 mL | 88 mL | 81 mL | |
| 3,000–4,000 L | 1–4 | 727 mL | 78 mL | 72 mL |
| 5–7 | 872 mL | 93 mL | 87 mL | |
| 8+ | 1090 mL | 117 mL | 109 mL | |
| 4,000–6,000 L | 1–4 | 1090 mL | 117 mL | 109 mL |
| 5–7 | 1309 mL | 140 mL | 130 mL | |
| 8+ | 1636 mL | 175 mL | 163 mL | |
| 6,000–8,000 L | 1–4 | 1454 mL | 156 mL | 145 mL |
| 5–7 | 1745 mL | 177 mL | 174 mL | |
| 8+ | 2181 mL | 234 mL | 218 mL | |
| 8,000–10,000 L | 1–4 | 1818 mL | 195 mL | 181 mL |
| 5–7 | 2181 mL | 234 mL | 218 mL | |
| 8+ | 2727 mL | 292 mL | 272 mL |
Don't know your exact tank size? Estimate from household size: 1–4 people usually means a tank up to 4,000 L; 5–7 people often means 4,000–8,000 L; 8+ people often means 6,000–10,000 L or larger. When in doubt, check with your plumber or installer.
Using a bottle more than 3 months past its production date? Multiply every dose in this table by 1.5 to compensate for reduced potency.
